Student Council – Norphlet Middle School
The Norphlet Middle School Student Council consists of members who are elected by the student body. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.
The NMS Student Council is responsible for organizing events such as the dog/cat food drive for UCAPS, Veterans Day parade/reception, and Salvation Army Bell Ringing. They also coordinate fundraisers such as Boo Grams and Valentine Grams. Council members help out at school and community events, such as STEM night. Student Council recognizes those celebrating birthdays of students each day with a treat as well as those who earned student of the day.
