Taking business education courses can be highly beneficial to students, whether they are interested in pursuing a career in business or simply want to develop valuable skills for personal and professional success.

Business courses provide students the opportunity to develop core skills across the subjects of accounting, finance, computer business applications and procedures while developing critical thinking skills. Business students make connections between what they are learning and the skills and competencies required to be successful employees in the 21st century workplace.

Students use industry recognized software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and are given the opportunity to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certifications.The business classroom is equipped with state of the art technology that includes all-in-one dell desktop computers with 27-inch touchscreen monitors with wireless mouse/keyboards also a 65-inch Newline interactive display for classroom sharing that helps build an engaging environment.

Smackover High School offers two Business Pathways:  Business Finance and Office Administration:

Business Education

The Career and Technical Student Organization for business students is Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).  At Smackover High School FBLA members learn the value of competition through directed competitive events while attending conferences and collaborating with other high school students across the state.
