Transportation
Smackover-Norphlet School District offers the privilege of bus transportation for all eligible students. Every effort is made to provide safe, comfortable and pleasant transportation service, while maintaining appropriate levels of efficiency. Effective transportation service requires cooperation among bus drivers and staff, school administrators, students and parents or guardians. We will not allow any person (adult or student) to stop the District from providing a safe, comfortable and pleasant ride to and from school and school activities.
Currently, SNSD runs 11 bus routes to every community within the district. Our newest route transitions at the Cardinal Shopping Center and provides transportation to school-choice students coming from the Camden/Fairview area.
Riding the bus is a student privilege provided by the Smackover - Norphlet School District. Students riding SNSD operated buses are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the safety rules and regulations of the Smackover-Norphlet School District Code of Conduct and those posted on buses. For the complete list of conduct rules for riding SNSD buses, see 4.19--CONDUCT TO AND FROM SCHOOL AND TRANSPORTATION ELIGIBILITY of the SNSD Student/Parent Handbook.
