Choir

The Smackover-Norphlet School District takes great pride in its exciting Choral Program. Each year, several students from both the middle school and high school compete and perform in the All-Region Choirs, and a few high school students, within the past few years, have been able to compete and perform in the All-State Choirs.

Within the past few years, the Smackover High School Program has received four (4) Division I ratings at their Regional Choral Performance Assessments (CPA), and they were also able to go onto the State CPA twice, while receiving an Excellent Rating in 2022-2023.

The Buckaroo Choir performs not only for the school and school events, but also for the community as well. For example, each Christmas season the students perform with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, as well as the annual Christmas Celebration in the Union County Courthouse. The Buckaroo Choir will also be performing at the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources in the 2023-2024 school year.

We are always excited about the diversity of ways we can incorporate the many musical talents of every Buckaroo student! That is why, in 2023-2024, we will be hosting a talent show for the school district that will incorporate both students and staff.
