SHS Art students and faculty have been very busy getting our "I Love Our AT" papers colored for our awesome Athletic Trainer, Mrs. Owen.

Smackover High School freshman Cash Moffett finished in first place in his class in both the Shoot Your Way Across The Bayou (SYWAB) Archery Series and the Louisiana State Championship.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

It is my pleasure to welcome new and returning families to SHS. We are looking forward to a great school year!

I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive community. As we enter this new school year, we will continue to keep student achievement as one of our top priorities. And also continue to meet every student where they are and move them forward in order to show academic and social-emotional growth.

Partnering with families is crucial to the overall success of all students and the school community. We encourage our families to consult with our teachers and to stay connected by visiting our website and social media platforms regularly for current information and upcoming events. I also encourage you to get involved with our school PTO. The PTO works to encourage interaction between families and school and serves as a source of support by providing assistance with various school activities and financial assistance where needs are identified within the school.

We value and appreciate our students, staff and families! I am excited to work with you and to help assist each student achieve their academic and personal goals. Buckaroos, let's make it an awesome year!
