Thank You Buckaroo Family! What an amazing Saturday night for the Smackover-Norphlet community!
The atmosphere, excitement, school spirit, and incredible support from our fans made Saturday night's game a night to remember.
Events like this don't happen without an entire community coming together, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone who played a part in making the Battle of 82 such a special evening.
A special thank you to the Smackover Police Department, Union County Sheriff's Office, and Smackover-Norphlet Administration for working countless hours to provide a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for everyone in attendance.
Your dedication allowed our students, families, fans, and visitors to enjoy the night with confidence and peace of mind.
We also want to recognize our Smackover-Norphlet Athletic Booster Club, Softball Booster Club, and Band Booster Club. Thank you for the countless hours you spent serving our fans, working concessions, helping with crowd flow, keeping lines moving as quickly as possible, and making the many last-minute adjustments necessary to make Saturday night's game possible. Your willingness to step up and serve our community does not go unnoticed. We are extremely fortunate to have people who are willing to give their time and energy to support our students!
A huge thank you to the Battlin' Buckaroo Band and Buckaroo Cheer Team for bringing incredible school spirit and energy to the stadium! Your music, performances, cheers, and enthusiasm kept our crowd fired up all night long. You helped create the electric atmosphere that made Saturday's game so special, and we are incredibly proud of the way you represented Smackover-Norphlet.
To our rival friends from Junction City, thank you for helping make Saturday night such a memorable event. Rivalries are what make high school sports special, but nights like Saturday remind us that competition can bring communities together. We appreciate your players, coaches, families, fans, and community for being a part of a great night.
To all of our coaches and players, thank you for the tremendous amount of work, preparation, dedication, and sacrifice that went into Saturday night's game. The time spent practicing, preparing, planning, and representing your schools is what makes these moments possible. We are proud of the effort and sportsmanship displayed by everyone involved.
And finally, a huge thank you to Terminix for providing the Battle of 82 Trophy and Championship T-Shirts. Your generosity helped create memories that our student-athletes will carry with them for years to come. We sincerely appreciate your support of our schools and our students.
Saturday night was about much more than a football game. It was about community, school spirit, tradition, competition, and coming together to support our kids.
