Three-year trend in SNSD shows a steady increase in proficiency across all grade levels and subject areas (2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26)

- ELA: 30% < 32% < 42% (25-26)
  - Steady improvement, with a noticeable jump in ‘25-’26.
- Math: 24% < 35% < 42%
  - Strong two-year gain (+18 points), showing consistent acceleration.
- Science: 32% < 39% < 54%
  - The largest improvement, with a major increase in ‘25’-’26.
Level 1 is generally declining (a positive sign)
- ELA: 26% < 27% > 18% (clear improvement in ‘25-’26).
- Math: 41% > 33% > 25% (steady reduction in struggling students)
- Science: 31% > 24% >17% (consistent improvement year over year)
Level 3-4 are steadily increasing and Level 1 is steadily decreasing! Go Bucks!

Six Smackover High School students – Gray King, Jackson Lewis, Payton Teasley, Alexia Eason, La’Trinity Grant, and Ramsey Wilson – were chosen to represent SHS at Arkansas Boys and Girls State.

The Battlin’ Buckaroo Band received Excellent Ratings at Region 3 Concert Assessment, with 100 percent of Middle and High School Band students earning Superior Ratings at Solo & Ensemble Contest recitals.

SHS: Three (3) students made All-Region, with two qualifying for All-State.
NMS: Two (2) students made Jr. High All-Region.
SHS Choir received a Division I Superior Rating, qualifying for State competition where they received a Division II Excellent Rating.
NMS Choir received a Division II Excellent Rating.

32 Smackover-Norphlet teachers received Merit Pay for a district total of $77,500.

Smackover High School seniors Gavin Grillo and Brady Pearson were selected to attend the Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day held May 2 at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock. Hosted annually by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the event honors top-performing high school seniors from across Arkansas for their outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and commitment to excellence in education. Selection for Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day is considered one of the highest academic recognitions for Arkansas high school students
