Smackover High School seniors Gavin Grillo and Brady Pearson were selected to attend the Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day held May 2 at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock.
Hosted annually by Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the event honors top-performing high school seniors from across Arkansas for their outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and commitment to excellence in education.

Selection for Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day is considered one of the highest academic recognitions for Arkansas high school students. Students invited to attend have distinguished themselves through exceptional classroom performance and dedication to their studies throughout their high school careers.

Smackover-Norphlet School District is proud to celebrate Gavin and Brady for earning this prestigious recognition. Their accomplishments reflect not only their individual hard work and perseverance, but also the strong support of their families, teachers, and school community.
